In 2009, Goelali Foundation launched Goelali Children’s Film Festival for the first time and more than 4,200 people came to enjoy a one week event, fully packed with film screenings, forum discussions, creative activities and workshops for children, parents, teachers and children media practitioners. Goelali invites all children to experience “The Magic of Film”.

Di tahun 2009, Goelali Foundation menyelenggarakan Goelali Children’s Film Festival yang mendatangkan lebih dari 4,200 peserta. Festival ini adalah festival film internasional untuk anak-anak yang diselenggarakan selama 7 hari penuh pada tanggal 14 – 20 Juni 2009. Dengan menggabungkan pemutaran film, diskusi forum, workshop, dan beragam aktifitas kreatif untuk anak-anak, orang tua serta guru, Goelali mengundang setiap anak untuk mengalami sensasi “Keajaiban Film”.

Goelali Children’s Film Festival aims to offer a platform for children (3-16 years old) to be exposed to the world of films and filmmaking through various creative workshops, allowing children to unleash their creative imagination to the fullest to enjoy the fantasy in films be it from the idea of the story, to the production and finally to viewing it on big screens. We believe that all children are to be given the opportunity and all children can be creative.

Goelali Children’s Film Festival merupakan sebuah wadah untuk anak-anak berusia 3 – 16 tahun agar mereka bisa mengenal industri perfilman melalui beragam workshop kreatif. Tujuannya adalah agar anak-anak bisa membebaskan pikirannya untuk berimajinasi melalui film, baik dari ide cerita, proses produksi, sampai akhirnya menikmati hasilnya melalui layar lebar.

GCFF adalah acara tahunan yang akan diadakan kembali pada pertengahan tahun 2010 dengan program-program yang lebih menarik. Target GCFF tahun ini, jumlah anak-anak yang terlibat lebih dalam dengan dunia kreatifitas jumlahnya lebih banyak dari tahun lalu. Jangan lewatkan kesempatan ini! Goelali Foundation is honoured to have RENATE ZYLLA as the film program advisor for Goelali Children’s Film Festival 2010.

Born in 1955 in Bielefeld, Germany, Renate holds a Master of Pedagogy with a concentration in media at the University of Bielefeld. She has professional experience in film and media since 1983 and worked in the film industry as well (casting and childcare for TV productions). She wrote editorial reports about films for departments of family and children’s programming of German TV stations and is an author of media educational material. Since 1991, she is member of national censorship committee about cinema and TV programs.

She starts her festival career in Berlin at the International Film Festival Berlin in 1986. In 1988 she became the director of the Kinder Film Fest of the Berlin International Film Fest and worked in this position till 2002. She was a cunsultant for the Kinder Film Festival Tokyo (1992 – 2002). In 2003 she became the director of Kodomotachino Kinder Film Festival Tokyo. Renate Zylla is a director, organizer, manager of film projects and events and has been a jury member at international film festivals around the world.

Since 2009 she is a festival agent for children and youth films and in 2010 she became a program advisor for international film festivals for children and young adults in: Jakarta (Indonesia), Lucknow (India), Manchester (UK), Montevideo (Uruguay), Nairobi (Kenya), Seattle (USA), Winnipeg (Canada).
